DAR And Territorial Museum To Host “Flames of Memory” Celebrating Veterans at Carnegie Library on November 10th

The Samuel King Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) along with the Oklahoma Territorial Museum will be hosting a beautiful event to honor our veteran loved ones: “Flames of Memory,” will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Veterans Day, this year, falls on Friday, November 11th. This three-day weekend will be packed with events in Guthrie and the surrounding areas.

Welfare Check leads to shooing in Guthrie

At approximately 4pm Tuesday, a Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy visited a home in the 600 block of East Warner to perform a welfare check on a female. On arriving the deputy encountered a male and female out in front of the home. The male was armed with a rifle and was wearing a bulletproof vest.

Knights of Columbus to host Stuff the Truck this weekend

The Knights of Columbus Council 916 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church will host its fourth annual Stuff the Truck with Turkeys and Hams to benefit God’s Food Bank for Thanksgiving this weekend at the church. Turkeys can be dropped off Saturday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 to 11:45 a.
