2022 Veterans Day Events

Veterans Day, this year, falls on Friday, November 11th. This three-day weekend will be packed with events in Guthrie and the surrounding areas.

Welfare Check leads to shooing in Guthrie

At approximately 4pm Tuesday, a Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy visited a home in the 600 block of East Warner to perform a welfare check on a female. On arriving the deputy encountered a male and female out in front of the home. The male was armed with a rifle and was wearing a bulletproof vest.

Knights of Columbus to host Stuff the Truck this weekend

The Knights of Columbus Council 916 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church will host its fourth annual Stuff the Truck with Turkeys and Hams to benefit God’s Food Bank for Thanksgiving this weekend at the church. Turkeys can be dropped off Saturday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 to 11:45 a.

Election Day Reminders And Tips

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, for the Federal, State and County General Election and Deer Creek RFPD Sepecial Election. Logan County Election Board Secretary, Sheleen Winscott, offers these important tips to voters.
