Logan County Clerk Troy Cole looks on as Commissioners Michael Pearson, Mark Sharpton and Monty Piearcy approve a letter addressed to the Chairman of the Logan Medical Center’s Board of Trustees. The letter is in reference to concerns the Commission has following a ruling by District Attorney Rob Hudson finding the LMC Trust Authority may not be in compliance with the law under OS 60, Section 178.8A and OS 60, Section 176.

The Logan County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday morning for their regularly scheduled meeting. Chairman Mark Sharpton introduced a letter addressed to the Logan County Medical Center (LMC) Board of Trustees. The letter reads, “ On July 30, 2010, the Logan County Board of Commissioners, under the auspices of OS 60, Section 178.8A, and OS 60, Section 176, approved a motion to seek an opinion from District Attorney Rob Hudson regarding the legality of a hospital trust member being directly or indirectly involved in the sale of real estate owned by the hospital trust.
