The Jewish festival of Shavuot / שָׁבוּעוֹת, meaning “weeks” (which the Christians call “Pentecost”), is one of the three biblical Harvest Pilgrimage festivals of ancient Israel. It marks the conclusion of the 49 days’ count-down of the “Omer,” or barley-sheaves, which began the second night of Pesach פֶּסַח (Passover).

Guthrie's Fields named NSU’s 2020 Outstanding Graduate Student

Northeastern State University has selected Shana Fields, former Guthrie graduate, as the 2020 Outstanding Graduate Student.

This award recognizes graduate students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and leadership, and a demonstrative impact on fellow students, NSU, their profession or the community. Candidates are nominated and selected entirely by graduate faculty.
