At their July 31 meeting, the Logan County Board of Commissioners approved an inter local agreement with the City of Langston for improvements to Choctaw Road between Old Highway 33 and County Road 76.
“I’m just going to do some base work and maybe put in a couple of tin horns that they’re going to purchase. The rest of it’s all contractors,” District 2 Commissioner Floyd Coffman said.
The Board approved a noncontract with JNL Construction, LLC., in the amount of $160,300.00, for renovations and upgrades to the Educational Building at the Logan County Fairgrounds.
“We opened this bid here a while back. The Fair Board wanted to go with this,” District 3 Commissioner Monty Piearcy said.
The Board also approved the appointment of Amber Taylor to the Crescent EMS Board to fill vacancy of Joy McPhail.
“This is one applicant that we had last (time) and so we just need to fill that vacancy,” Piearcy said.
In their Monday meeting, the Board of Commissioners approved the final Plat of Dewberry Farms, Phase 1, 39 lots in the SW/4 of 8-15N-2W and accepted a $345.00 donation from Sherin McDaniel to District 2 for rock on North Taurus Road.
In other matters, Emergency Management Director Steven Haga told the Board that he and Deputy Emergency Management Director Shawn Pierce recently completed their FEMA COML communication leader class in Oklahoma City and passed their certification accreditation.
