Peggy Sue Heltcel

Peggy Sue Heltcel, age 79 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on February 15, 2020 in Guthrie. She was born on September 6, 1940 in Portales, New Mexico to Curtis and Maudie Corley.

On September 15, 1956 Peggy married Billy Heltcel in McClain County, Oklahoma. Four years later they moved to Guthrie where they lived for the last 60 years.

David Lane Chandler

David Lane Chandler was born to Glenn and Jerri Chandler on April 8, 1953 in Ada, Oklahoma. He went home to be with his Savior on Sunday, February 16, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK.

He was the oldest of five children. When David was young, the family moved to Norman. He attended Moore schools where he graduated from Moore High School in 1971. David spent his career in construction and was employed the last thirteen years with Hobby Lobby most recently as Director of Construction, Field Operations.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Matt grew up in Oklahoma City with his Mom and sister. After graduating from UCO, he began his career with the Social Security Administration. In 2007, he met the love of his life and married Jennifer. Together they were blessed with twins in 2011.

Matt’s health issues never diminished his love of life or interfered with the boundless love he showed his wife and kids. The family thanks all the medical professionals that cared for Matt and extended his life.

Lois Kathleen Sears

Lois Kathleen Kennedy Sadler Sears, 96, of Guthrie, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in Guthrie. Kathleen was born to Opal Mae and Lloyd Ray Kennedy on July 11, 1923 in Luther, Oklahoma.

She was married for 35 years to Bennie Ferial Sadler, and together they had one beloved child, Larry Joe Sadler. Kathleen and Bennie owned Sadler’s Cleaners in Guthrie. A long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Guthrie, Kathleen served as a children’s Sunday school teacher for 34 years.

Joe Jacobs, Jr.

Joe Jacobs, Jr. affectionately known as “Little Joe” , a long time citizen of Logan County, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020. He was born to Joseph and Leona Jacobs on October 30, 1920 in Fallis, OK.

Joe spent the majority of his life in Logan County. He worked as a farmer and a laborer.

He leaves to cherish his memory his nephew / son, Stacy E. Williams, Sr. and his wife, Linda of Langston, OK; one brother, Reverend Lorenzo Jacobs and his wife, Deloris of Chandler, OK; and many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

James "Jim" Richard Cobb, age 81 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on January 28, 2020 in Oklahoma City. He was born on April 28, 1938 in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Jim graduated from Guthrie High School in 1956 and then joined the Army. He worked as a petroleum landman and retired in 2015. On September 29, 2017 he married Paulette Emmert in Norman, Oklahoma.
