As anticipation builds for the start of the fall sports season, Bluejay fans will have their first opportunity to meet the student-athletes who will represent Guthrie High School during the annual Meet the Bluejays event.The evening begins with a community tailgate at 4:30 p.m.

After more than two decades of service to the Guthrie community, Lt. Mike Loya is retiring from the Guthrie Police Department, concluding a law enforcement career marked by leadership, training and mentorship.Loya joined the Guthrie Police Department in April 2002 after retiring from the U.S.

Lawmakers talk budget, water and education at Chamber’s Annual Legislative Luncheon

The Guthrie Chamber of Commerce held its annual Legislative Luncheon on July 28th, 2026 at the Meridian Technology Center. Giving members of the local business community a chance to hear directly from the state lawmakers who represent the area and to ask questions about issues facing the region.

4-H STEM Day

The Logan County 4-H State STEM Innovators hosted STEM Day on July 17, 2026. The STEM Innovators taught about wildlife and fisheries, geology, and meteorology. In Jimmy Ferguson’s workshop, participants made pop can fishing rigs, and learned how to identify common plants and fish in Oklahoma.

This weekend, Guthrie proudly welcomed rodeo royalty from across the nation as the Miss Rodeo USA Clinic brought together contestants ranging in age from just 8 years old to 25 years old.
