Guthrie FFA is to host a Fall Market

The Guthrie FFA is going to host a Fall Market on the 29th of October from 9 A.M.- 2 P.M in the parking lot at W. Harrison & S. 1st St. The FFA Chapter is extremely excited about the opportunity to host an event that will engage the community and FFA members.

Early Voting Begins Wednesday

Early voting begins Wednesday, November 2, for voters in Logan County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.

Emergency Drought Cost-Share Funding

An emergency drought declaration was issued by Governor Stitt last month. As a result, extra cost-share assistance is available through the Logan County Conservation District to help farmers and ranchers deal with the effects.

Grant Funds Approved

Guthrie’s City Council on Tuesday approved the acceptance of grant funds and the execution of the grant agreement from the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department for the Land and Water Conservation Fund in the amount of $1 million for the Owen Fields Softball Complex Phase 1A.

Owen’s Arts Place Reopening With Reception Sunday

On Sunday, October 30th, Owen’s Arts Place Museum will host a reception for its grand reopening from 3:00 p.m. to approximately 5:00 p.m. The reception is free to the public and features fine art from artists in multiple media from sculpture to painting to collage to lithograph.

October 2022 Support & Certified Employee of the Month

The October 2022 Support & Certified Employee of the Month were presented a plaque and a Sonic gift card this morning. Listed below are the winners and the person that nominated them for the award. October Support EOM was Lyn Sarasua and she was nominated by Annie Chadd.

October Sales and Use Tax

The City of Guthrie saw an increase in its October sales tax and use tax, which are compiled from tax receipts from August business. According to the city report, Guthrie received $690,996 in sales tax revenue this month.
