Oklahoma Eagles Elite

Oklahoma Eagles Elite 2022 Basketball Team won 5-straight games in Fort Worth Texas at The PrepHoops Mayhem In The Plex Showcase Tournament this weekend. The Eagles defeated Houston Texas 60-58, Louisiana Showtime 65-34, Dallas BYG Elite 60-55, Arkansas 62-54, and Nike Pro Skills San Antonio 57-55.

Guthrie going to State

The Guthrie High School Bluejays baseball team is going to the Class 5A state tournament after sweeping through the Lawton MacArthur regional on May 6-7. The Bluejays will open tournament action on Thursday at Edmond Santa Fe against Pryor at 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 and available at the gate.

Wildcats sweep regional, headed to Class 2A State Tournament

The Cashion High School Wildcats are headed to Oklahoma City and the Class 2A baseball state tournament this weekend. This will be the third state tournament this year for the Wildcats. Cashion won the football title and played in the basketball tournament.

Ballard-Stevenson, Barney lead Bluejays to regional title

The Guthrie High school track teams traveled to Collinsville on May 7 for the regional meet. The Bluejays would edge Collinsville 121-119 to claim the regional title and advance a solid group to Ardmore this Saturday for the Class 5A state Championships.

Bluejays celebrate Senior Night, prepare for Regionals

The Guthrie Bluejays baseball team could only muster two hits on Monday night against the Perry Maroons and dropped their regular season finale 2-1 at Squires Field. Josh Rains and Jake Zserdin got the two hits and Zserdin scored the run as the Bluejays’ offense went missing in action.

Local schools head to state track meets Saturday

The small school classes 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A held their regional track meets on April 30 and May 1. Coyle, Crescent and Cashion all qualified relay teams and individuals for the state finals May 8.

Lady Bluejays season ends as Mustang home runs too much to overcome

The Guthrie Lady Bluejays’ slow pitch season came to abrupt end Monday night when they were swept in their regional by Mustang 15-2 and 16-0 to finish their inaugural season at 15-11. The games were originally scheduled for April 29 but were moved up because of the threat of bad weather.

Logan County Spring sports wrap-up underway

The spring sports season is winding down quickly for local teams. The Cashion Wildcats baseball team (21-4) will be in action in the Bi-District tournament Thursday against Pawhuska (0-19). The winner advances to regionals next week.

Guthrie Track Competes in Edmond

The Guthrie High School track teams closed out their regular season last week at Edmond Memorial on April 20. The ten-team event had nine Class 6A teams and Guthrie. While the teams team standings were not particularly good, some of the Bluejays athletes continue to have a stellar season.
