#1 Wildcats advance to Final Four; #4 Pawnee awaits


The Cashion Wildcats are one game away from playing in the state championship. 

The #1 team in Class A took care of business against Barnsdall last Friday night, beating the Panthers 28-6 in treacherous conditions. Not even the rain or the muddy field could slow down Cashion. The Wildcats scored on its first two offensive possessions of the game, as TJ Roberts scored on 8- and 4-yard runs to put the Wildcats up 14-0 with 7:51 left in the first half. 

Roberts added his third touchdown of the half, scoring on a 7-yard run to put the Wildcats in front 20-0 at halftime.

Sallee, Dement nab All-City Honors


Guthrie High School standouts Trevor Sallee and Mercy Dement highlighted six Guthrie selections on The Oklahoman's All-City Cross Country teams over the weekend.

Sallee was named to The Oklahoman's All-City Boys Cross Country First Team, while Dement was named to the All-City Girls Cross Country Second Team. 

Mason Barney, JD Coonfield, and Grant Mayer all received Honorable Mention selections for the boys, while Tori Wells was named Honorable Mention on the girls side.

#1 Cashion advances to Quarterfinals for the first time since 2015


Brexten Green got to the endzone and jumped as high as he could. With a Texhoma defender draped over him, Green plucked the ball out of the sky with one hand before getting both feet in bounds. It took the officials a few seconds to confirm what he already knew. Touchdown Wildcats.

It was Green’s third touchdown of the night, putting the #1 Wildcats in front 45-6 with :02 left in the third quarter.
