Guthrie senior Wesley Silvis signed a Letter of Intent on May 9 to wrestle at University of Central Oklahoma next year. Silvis will wrestle at 197 pounds for the Bronchos. Guthrie Track Quali_es for State Meet

Guthrie High School’s track teams produced some solid performances at the Edmond regional on May 4, particularly the girls, who will send three relay teams and multiple individuals to the Class 5A State Championships this weekend at Western Heights High.

Guthrie Girls Tennis

Emma Poupard, Jillian Minter, Aspen Mitchell, Rylee Tobin, Kenzie Hardesty, Hollie Mitchell all made it to the state tennis tournament. All of them have advanced to the second day and will be competing today. Jillian Minter and Rylee Tobin are in the semifinals and guaranteed to medal.

Lady Bluejays Varsity Results: In the sprints, Oliviah Bryan (13.46) finished in sixth place in the 100.Saphera White (13.82) and Cora Leach (14.12) also competed. Junior Haley Gallo ran 26.6 for a second-place finish in the 200.Madison Brooks(27.57) was good for sixth place and White ran29.

Jays Finish Strong, Head To Elgin Regional

After a challenging three weeks which saw them win only three of fourteen games, the Guthrie varsity baseball team wrapped up the regular season on a high note last week, winning four of five games, with all four victories being critical for district points.
