Guthrie cross country runs hard at Carl Albert

Guthrie High's varsity cross country teams traveled to Carl Albert on Friday as a warm-up for this weekend’s Tarter Invitational.
In a field loaded with seven Class 6A teams, the girls finished sixth and the boys eighth in their divisions.

Lady Bluejays blank Elgin 4-0

The Guthrie High School Lady Bluejays softball team traveled to Elgin on August 29 and won a key district game 4-0 behind Kinley Duehning’s five hitter. Duehning went the distance striking out one and walking one in the game.

GHS JV Volleyball beats Elgin

Pictured Above, The GHS JV Volleyball team in action on August 30 against Elgin. The Freshman won 25-10 and 25-15 to improve to 2-1 on the season. The JV won 28-26,22-25, and 15-9 to improve to 3-2 on the season. The varsity lost 16-25,25-19,22-25, and 17-25 to fall to 0-5 on the year.

The Guthrie High School Lady Bluejays softball team stretched their winning streak to 11 in a row on August 26 with a thrilling 4-3 win over the Duncan Lady Demons. The win improved the Lady Bluejays to 3-0 in district play.

Softball girls win home opener 6-3

The Guthrie Lady Bluejays overcame an early 2-0 and 3-2 deficit to post a 6-3 win on August 19 in their home opener against Carl Albert in a non-district game in Guthrie.
The visitors jumped out to a 2-0 first inning lead on a two-run home run off Bluejay pitcher Kinley Duehning.

GHS welcomed varsity volleyball to its lineup on August 12. The team lost the OKC Storm 13-25,9-25, and 5-25. The junior varsity lost 9-25 and 6-25. The freshman lost 15-25 and 13-25.
