High school football coaches say that the Homecoming game is always the hardest game to get ready for every year. With all the activities, the schoolwork, and the actual game. ... Well, Friday night was a great example.

Great weather, big crowds celebrate Homecoming 2024

The Class of 2026 was the float winner as a huge crowd welcomed the 2024 Homecoming Parade through downtown Guthrie on Friday afternoon. The Guthrie High School band led the way as the floats and different royalty groups rode through the parade.

Lady Bluejays take district

It was an up-and-down kind of week for Guthrie High’s Lady Bluejays softball team.They clinched the district title on September 26 with a 12-2 run-rule victory against host Lawton Eisenhower, taking advantage of six walks and four errors.

Bluejays crush John Marshall in district opener

After recording a punishing 44-8 win against John Marshall in its third straight road game, Guthrie High’s football players are looking forward to putting their 2- 2 record on the line at Friday’s Homecoming game against the Noble Bears (0-4) at 7 p.m. The queen coronation is at 6:30.

Hock runs for 310 yards, scores five touchdowns

The Coyle Bluejackets secured their first win of the year on September 13 with a 50-12 rout of the Bluejacket Chieftains in Coyle. Carsen Hock led the way carrying the ball 18 times for 310 yards and five touchdowns, all in the first half.

Bluejays rush for 391 yards to beat Demons

Guthrie High’s football team bounced back from its last-second loss to Tuttle in the season opener by thumping the Duncan Demons 54-12 on Friday night, collecting 391 rushing yards and three touchdowns each from Kolton Carlock and Zane Thomas.
