On Saturday, October 21, 2023, Victor Dale Wilson, 83, scored the best seats in the house for this year’s World Series. His team didn’t make the cut, but that’s ok. All that matters is the beer is cold, the dogs are hot, and the peanuts are plentiful.

Born in Bruno, Arkansas, Victor spent his youth fishing and swimming. He loved being a lifeguard because the whistle was power. He spent his adult years as a lineman for OG&E until that damn pole broke and he rode it to the ground, while his grumpy old man years were spent gardening, playing with his dogs, and watching baseball with his cats. He had no tolerance for loud music or frilly furniture but could spend hours sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds.

Victor’s family is eternally grateful to the Golden Age Nursing Home staff for their care, patience, and willingness to give as good as they got when he got ornery. In his way, he loved you all.

Per his request, there will be no service.
