Kellie Raper, Oklahoma State University Extension livestock marketing specialist, is scheduled to lead the conversation about topics such as Oklahoma Quality Beef Network VAC-45 program health and management influence on calf prices. VAC-45 refers to verification programs centered on calf health and management around the time of weaning.

OSU entities partner with Stillwater vendors to produce new Cowboy Family T-shirt to benefit student support

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State University, the OSU Foundation and the OSU Alumni Association are partnering with several Stillwater vendors to produce a new #CowboyFamily T-shirt.

 

The T-shirts are being sold for $22 by various Stillwater vendors who will then donate a portion of their proceeds to the Cowboy Strong Student Emergency Fund, a critical component of OSU’s COVID-19 response. This fund provides direct and immediate support to students in danger of dropping out.

Do you have a child, grandchild or friend graduating high school or college this year?  Video a congratulatory message and send it to us!  Videos need to be 30 seconds or less and must be approved by the News Leader staff before posting.  All you have to do is email your video to gnlnews@guthrienewsleader.net!  Videos will begin in May and run through the summer.  Tell them how proud you are!

The success of the monthly summer music concerts has shown that the region is not only ready, but anxious to have cool things happening in our town. Wherever you go around the state, mentioning that you are from Guthrie evokes, “I love that town!” “ I love to go there!” “I would love to live there!” “I loved GOTR there!” “I love to go to Bluegrass!” “I love your Christmas celebration!” “I love the 89er parade!”… on and on. Guthrie is recognized as one of the hippest places in the state, and people want to find reasons to be here. RBN gives them the excuse that they are looking for.
