Art of Dr. Wallace Owens to be Showcased at State Capitol

Professor Wallace Owens, Jr., is to be the featured Capitol Exhibition Artist in the East Gallery of the Oklahoma State Capitol beginning this May. Owens is a long-time Guthrie resident and the Owner/ Curator of Owens Arts Place Gallery in Guthrie, the first and only fine arts museum in the history of Logan County.

Bluejays golf team sends three to state championships

Guthrie High’s boys golf team had a rough day at the Class 5A regional at Cedar Valley on Monday, falling short of state qualifying by five strokes. But, three members of the team -- Devin Frey, Britt Drake and Justin Green -- did qualify for the 54-hole state championship individual play in Duncan om May 8-9.
