NORMAN and STILLWATER, OKLA. – The infamous Bedlam rivalry between the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University usually spawns intense divisions throughout the state. This year, however, the two schools are joining together off the field to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
Guthrie will host its annual Veterans Day Parade this Wednesday.
The parade (HS Band, ROTC, etc) starts at Guthrie Junior High at 10:30 and ends at Honor Park. A ceremony will be held there to conclude the event, and Mayor Gentling will give a short speech as well.
The Board of Education of the Meridian Technology Center School District hereby announces that statutorily qualified individuals interested in running as a candidate for the District # 3 seat, which has a five (5) year term on the Meridian Technology Center Board of Education may file to run as a candidate at the Payne County Election Board between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday, December 7 through Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
The Marine Corps League Sooner Detachment 559 in Guthrie will be hosting an event at the Norman Veterans Center on Nov. 10 to celebrate the Marine Corps’ 245th birthday.
Sooner Detachment 559 said in a statement, “In all of this, the Oklahoma City Marine Corps League Sooner Detachment 559 is honored to bring the 245th birthday celebration of the United States Marine Corps to them and their families at the Veterans’ facility.”
OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 6, 2020) – Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Oklahoma City has kicked off construction on a new 10,000-square-foot patient wing. The two story $7.5 million project will increase capacity by 32 percent with the addition of 16 beds and two additional patient care areas.
