Crescent High’s Lady Tigers, sparked by two individual champions, finished fifth in the Class 2A State Track Championships at Western Heights last weekend and won the Class 2A State Academic Championship.

Kinidi Taylor defended her long jump title with a leap of 18 feet, 3.25 inches, and Kinzi Bell won the discus title with a 135-6 effort.

The other big points for the Lady Tigers came from a second-place finish in the 4x200-meter relay team of Calen Cox, Reydon Walker, Taylor and Kylee Bell in 1:46.90, and a thirdplace finish in the 4x100 relay with Cox, Walker, Aja House and Taylor (50.4712).

Kylee Bell and Breanna Thomas placed fourth and fifth in the pole vault, clearing 9-0 and 8-6, respectively.
