Singer/songwriter Bri Avila-Alhamdani (stage name “BriZee”) was born and raised here in Guthrie, Oklahoma. This local artist attended Guthrie Public Schools and was in Mr. Bill Perring’s choirs until her senior year when she attended Harding Fine Arts Academy in Oklahoma City.

“I have been singing since I was old enough to sing,” remembered Alhamdani.

At Harding, she joined a group called “Wings of Harmony,” whose director, Tyrone Stanley, was a seasoned Broadway performer, starring as “Simba” in “The Lion King,” as well as an actor on both “Sex and the City,” and “Days of Our Lives.”

“He was just a really amazing guy,” said Alhamdani. “He was able to take us to new heights our senior year.”

In 2009, the group toured New York and performed at the world famous Apollo Theater there.

Since then, Alhamdani has been singing and auditioning for gigs like “American Idol,” until she decided to enter into the first karaoke contest at the Jungle Bar in downtown Guthrie a few years ago. After winning that contest, her husband encouraged her to get involved in singing studio music.

She got involved with Castle Row Studio in Del City singing with other artists in studio and singing cover songs.

Castle Row was the starting place for artists like Blake Shelton, Afroman, and Little Wayne. It was there that her producer, Andrew Marshala encouraged her to write her own music to perform, and she has been successfully doing just that.

Her new EP album titled “Fight,” has been making waves, internationally, having been streamed in multiple countries including Ireland, El Salvador, France, Japan, Sweden, Canada, and in countries in Africa within its first month of being released.

BriZee’s music falls into the Pop Music category, and her style is hip-hop and pop. She has released some singles, as well as her new album that can be streamed or downloaded from wherever you like to get your music. This first album, “Fight,” is her personal story and her song.

“There was a lot of emotion that went into the music and a lot of heart,” Alhamdani explained. “My goal with the album was basically just to get a lot of things off of my chest and really try to help other people go through their struggles and relate and not feel like they’re going through things alone, that there are other people out there that have experienced that. My goal was to share my history and hopefully touch somebody.”
