A memorial event is being held by John Vance Auto Group and BlueJ’s Rockin’ & Rollin’ Grill to honor the memory of Lieutenant Mark Bruning . It will be held this next Thursday, August 18 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Lieutenant Bruning passed away Thursday July 28 and had served 20 plus years in the Guthrie Police Department. He was well respected in the Logan County Community and will be dearly missed by his many family members, friends, coworkers and all others who knew of his kindness.

The Facebook page for the event states “please join our food truck for lunch on Thursday August 18, 11-2 as we team up with John Vance Auto Group to honor one of Guthrie’s finest Officers. We will be taking donations and giving a portion of our sales that day to the Woodcrest Volunteer Fire Department in honor of Lieutenant Bruning. We are grateful to John Vance Auto Group for hosting us for this event and so generously offering to match our sales donations. Please share this event with your friends and family and help us make this a great giveback event.”

“In honor of Lieutenant Bruning, and to show our appreciation for all of the volunteers at Woodcrest Volunteer Fire Department, we will be matching donations raised from a portion of the sales of the BlueJ’s Rockin’ & Rollin’ Grill. Please join us at John Vance Auto Group, August 18 from 11am-2pm to help raise money for this worthy cause,” said Megan Vance Ochs, Vice President of John Vance Auto Group.
