As part of the annual ‘89er Days Celebration, the chuckwagon feed features both silent and live auctions that play a crucial role in supporting this beloved event. These auctions are a highlight for attendees and provide a wonderful opportunity to raise funds to ensure the success of the festivities. Local businesses are being invited to contribute to these auctions by donating items or services, which will not only enrich the bidding experience but also help in generating the necessary financial support.

The auctions are an exciting addition to the chuckwagon event. Donated items for auctions can vary widely, from valuable art pieces to practical items like BBQ grills, or even experiences like gift certificates for products or services. Before enjoying a meal, it’s always a good idea to take a stroll around the silent auction table to see what catches your eye and place your bids.

For businesses willing to donate, it’s important to note that all contributions are 100% tax deductible, making it a great way to support a community event while also benefiting from tax incentives. If you are interested in offering an item for either the silent or live auction, please reach out to Carrie Fryar at 405-314-3683 carrie.fryar@gmail.com or Tammie Hulsey at 405-435-3391 tammie.hulsey@yahoo.com. Your generosity and support are greatly appreciated, and your participation will contribute to the continued success of the ‘89er Days Celebration.

Additionally, the live auction is where the real action takes place, with the energy running high as bidders compete for coveted items. It’s a great opportunity to witness the thrill of bidding wars and maybe even walk away with a special item of your own. So, make sure to stick around after dining to enj oy the excitement of the live auction and support the cause behind it all. Happy bidding!

Join us for a delightful evening at the chuckwagon feed on Tuesday April 16th at 5pm, marking the beginning of the 95th ‘89er Days Celebration in Guthrie, Oklahoma. We are immensely grateful to Dunagan Farms for their ongoing support and generous donation of meat for the feed. The talented Chase Biggs from Biggsy’s BBQ Shack will be serving up a scrumptious spread including pulled pork sandwiches, cole slaw, baked beans, and potato salad.

Tickets for this mouthwatering chuckwagon feed are priced at $15 and can be obtained in advance from various ‘89er committee members or at the door on the day of the event. Don’t miss out on the excitement - Dennis Ochs is graciously taking on the role of auctioneer.
