Jerry Wayne Jarnagin

Jerry Wayne Jarnagin was born on August 29, 1950, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Quimby and Laveda (Brown) Jarnagin. He passed away on September 18, 2026, in Coyle, Oklahoma, at the age of 76.

Jerry graduated from Guthrie High School and spent most of his life in Logan County, the place he was always proud to call home. He was also a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Throughout his working years, Jerry was employed by Utility, where he worked in trailer manufacturing and was known for his skill and steady work ethic.

At heart, Jerry was an artist. He especially enjoyed sketching and had a natural ability to bring the people, places, and ideas in his imagination to life on paper. His drawings reflected his creativity and offered a glimpse into the way he saw the world.

Jerry also enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He loved settling in to watch a good western, cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners during football season, and spending time at the casino. Whether he was sketching, watching one of his favorite westerns, or enjoying a day out, Jerry was happiest doing the things he loved.

Jerry is survived by his children, Joni Noble and husband John, and Josh Jarnagin and wife Karissa; his brother, Larry Jarnagin and wife Laura; his grandchildren, Kyle Noble and husband Chris, Kori Davison and husband John, Madison Jarnagin, Milaina Jarnagin, and Kaedynn Shields; five great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Quimby and Laveda Jarnagin, and his sister, Sandra Cottrell.

Jerry will be lovingly remembered for his creative spirit, his deep Oklahoma roots, and the memories he made with those he loved.Although he will be deeply missed, his sketches and the love he shared with his family will remain lasting reminders of a life that was uniquely his own.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 12:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Hayes Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Summit View Cemetery (1808 N. Pine St., Guthrie, OK 73044).
