Sperry Selected as District 4 Trustee

(Stillwater, OK-Sept. 24, 2021) — The Central Rural Electric Cooperative board of trustees has met and appointed Sidney Kyle Sperry as the new District Four Trustee. Sperry will follow Len Tontz who will be retiring from the board when his term ends in October.

District four elections were held September 16 in Guthrie. Three candidates submitted applications during the filing period and were available for a vote. Quorum was not met at the election and Sperry was appointed pursuant to the bylaws.

Sperry is from the Guthrie area. He holds a BA in English and Speech Communication from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva. Sperry has worked in various roles for Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives for 41 years, most recently as the Director of Public Relations and Communications at the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives. He is currently the President and CEO of SPIDI Technologies, LLC.
