Guthrie’s Newest Head Girls Basketball Coach

Guthrie Public Schools officially named Breck Clark as its new head girls basketball coach. She will take over for Malcolm Roberts who recently announced his resignation from the post after three seasons. “I’m so excited to join Guthrie Public Schools as the new head girl’s basketball coach.

Connie Cink

Connie Cink, 81, passed away on May 8, 2022 in Wellington, Kansas. She is survived by her husband Bob; son Bob and daughter Carna. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date.

GUES visits The State Capital Publishing Museum

Guthrie Upper Elementary School’s, Ms. Vangie Goddard’s 5th & 6th grade Gifted and Talented class toured the State Capital Publishing Museum today. Lynn Bilodeau gave them a tour of the basement, 1st and 2nd floor.

Jerry Gammill and Jamie Newton of the Guthrie Kiwanis Club present the club’s Sophomore of the Year award to Miss McKenna Bench at the May school board meeting. Miss Bench received a certificate and a check for $250.00.

Guthrie Rotary Club Student of the Week

The Guthrie Rotary Club Student of the Week is Emily Beeby. She is the daughter of Kelly and Laura Beeby. Emily is active in Bluejay golf, FFA as the Reporter, a Football trainer and Link Crew. She is a Valedictorian for 2022 and a member of National Honor Society.
