2022 Year in Review

Bond Revoked for Daniel Triplett The bond for Daniel Triplett was revoked on Friday (Jan. 14) by Judge Susan Worthington in a hearing that took about 20 minutes to decide. Triplett is alleged to have committed first degree murder and desecration of a body in 2021 of Brent Mack.

2022 Year in Review

This past week’s winter weather engulfed the surrounding areas with a layer of snow, sleet and ice, meaning more caution was necessary for Guthrie residents when out and about.

Commissioners approve private family cemetery requests

Bluejays lose two heartbreakers to end 2022

Two heartbreaking losses closed out the Guthrie Bluejays basketball team’s 2022 portion of its schedule. First, came a 60-58 loss to Northwest Classen on Dec. 13, when a 3-pointer from Jaylen Chelf rimmed out at the buzzer.

Lady Bluejays rout Lady Knights 54-13

By Mike Monahan The Guthrie Lady Bluejays basketball team won their third game in a row on December 13 routing an outmanned Northwest Classen Lady Knights 5413 to improve to 3-2 on the year.

Holiday Closings

The Logan County Courthouse will be closed Friday, December. 23 and Monday, December. 26. City Hall will be closed Friday, December. 23 and Monday, December. 26, as well as Monday, January. 2, 2023. Guthrie Parks facilities are closed Saturday, December. 24, and Sunday, Dec. 25th.
