Voter Registration Deadline Approaches

Friday, January 20, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the February 14 Deer Creek SD 1-6 Board of Education Primary Election and Coyle SD 1-14 Special Election, Logan County Election Board Secretary Sheleen Winscott said today.

Pastor Layton L. White, 77, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 in Lexington, Oklahoma. He was born March 2, 1945 in Navassa, North Carolina to Boston and Margaret (Johnson) White. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Coyle Girls Second, Boys Third At Mulhall-Orlando Invitational

Coyle High’s basketball teams enjoyed a successful weekend at the 55th annual Mulhall-Orlando Invitational Tournament, each winning two of three games. The Lady Bluejackets finished second, losing to a hot-shooting Varnum Lady Whippets team Saturday night, 72-49.

Lady Panthers Finish Fourth In 55th Annual Basketball Event

Mulhall-Orlando’s Lady Panthers finished fourth in their own 55th annual basketball tournament after losing a 44-42 nail-biter to Union City on Saturday.

County Officials and Press Inspect County Jail

The County Commissioners, other county officials, citizens, and members of the Guthrie press were on hand last Tuesday morning to conduct the inspection of the Logan County Jail.

Guthrie Firefighters Responded To A Record-Breaking 3,969 Incidents In 2022

Guthrie residents have a lot to thank our Fire Department for this year. Our firefighters responded to a total of 3,969 calls in 2022. That record-breaking number averages out to 11 calls per day! The top major call number type by far was the need for rescue and emergency services.
