Another Guthrie institution hits a major milestone, as the Oklahoma Sports Heritage Museum celebrates its 30th year. The Museum will mark this momentous occasion with a celebration this coming Saturday, February 3.

Ross crowned 2024 Crescent Basketball queen

The Crescent basketball teams celebrated Homecoming on January 26 with games against The Academy. Kynlee Ross was crowned Homecoming Queen and CJ Wilson was crowned Homecoming King in pre-game ceremonies. The Lady Tigers won their game 37-35 against The Academy and the Tigers would lose 60-38.

Elementary track meet to honor former GHS coach, AD Boxley

An inaugural track meet for local elementary students, held in honor of longtime Guthrie High track, cross country coach and athletic director Gary Boxley, will be held this spring at the Clay Tarter Complex behind the school.

Friends of the Guthrie Public Library Annual Used Book Sale

The Annual Used Book Sale of the Friends of the Guthrie Public Library will be on Saturday, February 3, 2024. As in past years, the sale will be in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Presbyterian Church, located at 102 E. Noble, in Guthrie. The sale hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Logan County 4-H Illustrated Presentation Contest Winners

Saturday, Jan. 13, 4-Hers gathered to practice their presentation skills using technology, posters, and hands-on demonstrations. Congratulations to all who participated in this 4-H designed exercise to help build public speaking skills by sharing personal interests with others.

Voter registration deadline approaches

Friday, February 9, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the March 5 Presidential Preferential Primary Election and Logan County Special Election, Logan County Election Board Secretary Sheleen Winscott said today.
