Guthrie AJROTC defeats Clinton AJROTC

Guthrie AJROTC defeated Clinton AJROTC 839.3 to 704.9 in the 2024 National Air Rifle New Shooter League. Guthrie AJROTC was led by Alycea Reese who shot a 215.0. The remaining contributing members were Garrett Looney, Mason Triplett, and Tyler Lawson.

Lady Bluejays win six straight before spring break

Guthrie High School’s slow-pitch softball team went 6-0 last week to improve to 6-4 heading to spring break.
At the Stroud Festival on March 11, the Lady Bluejays beat Stuart 13-0 and Crescent 16-4.

Guthrie seniors Brayden Morgan and Tyronne Beatty were named to the 5A-1 first team in coaches voting last week. Guthrie did not land any players on the player of the year awards despite an outstanding 22-5 season. Senior Nathan Bedford was named to the second team and Senior Alex Clark was named to the third team. Senior Jaylen Harper and freshman Kolson Smedley were named honorable mention.
