Faver graduates, attendees and family from all over the country will be in attendance to share in the activities. The last graduating class from Faver High School was in May of 1967. The following school year, all Faver High School students began attending a newly built Guthrie High School. The reunion theme is “Keeping the Faver Legacy and Spirit Alive: A Past to remember, a Present to celebrate and a Future to generate”. Participants will dress reflecting the seventies (70’ s).

At 10:00am will be the formal opening of the reunion with a program of music and speakers. FHSAFFA President, Darryl Hughes Sr. will be presiding. A business meeting will be held after the morning program.
On Friday evening, the reunion participants, wearing their purple and gold school colors, will meet at the Cimarron Golf Club. They will enjoy dinner, entertainment by comedienne LaTasha Featherstone. She portrays her character as Mabel Lean, “your gangster grandma raised by the church and by the streets”. This leader of Red Cup Ministries and Saints and Aint’s Comedy will have you laughing until you are in tears with her satirical humor about life and people. State Representative, Collin Duel will also be in attendance. He will present citations from the State of Oklahoma to nine individuals who will be recognized for their leadership, support and service to the Faver High School Alumni Family and Friends Association. Those individuals are William “Pee Wee” Stevenson, Samuel Stevenson, Helen Baker, Stephen “Stebo” Hamlin, Orville Cornelius, Wesley Bennett Sr., Joann Harding, Margaret Nell Williams and Alice Hughes. On Saturday morning, at 10:30am, everyone will reconvene in the Faver High School auditorium. Though most of the school burned down many years ago, the front part of the school remains. This room has not changed since the 1960’s. We will sit in the original seats and look at the stage, recalling all of the wonderful memories of events that happened on stage and behind those black velvet-like curtains. Specially designed reunion T-shirts (Faver Pirates) will be worn by those in attendance. Dr. Leon Bragg (Class of 1966) will be the facilitator of the morning program. The Mayor of Guthrie, Mr. Steven Gentling will present the “State of Guthrie”. Dr. Mae F. Leach, (Class of 1960) will be the keynote speaker. She will speak on a topic that complements the theme; “Keeping the Faver Legacy and Spirit Alive: A Past to remember, a Present to celebrate and a Future to generate”. Carmen Bennett will conduct a memorial moment recognizing those who have passed since the last reunion.
After the program the participants will have a barbecue lunch at the Drexel Event Center. Socializing will continue and dancing.
On Sunday, June 30, participants will worship at the church of their choice. At 1:00pm lunch will be served, and all will bid each other farewell until the next time.
