Bluejays pitch shutout in home opener, 50-0

The Guthrie Bluejays football team had to wait a week to open the home portion of its schedule but treated the crowd to a 50-0 rout against former district opponent Woodward (now in Class 4A) Friday night.

Bluejays win season opener 35-23 in Ponca City, Home opener Friday night

The Guthrie Bluejays opened their 2022 football season with a come from behind 35-23 win in Ponca City on August 26. The Bluejays fell behind early trailing 10-0 after the first quarter.

Lady Bluejays go 3-0 in district play last week

The Guthrie Lady Bluejays went 3-0 in some critical district softball games last week. The week started with El Reno coming to town on August 23. The Lady Bluejays scored three runs in the second and third innings and made the runs hold up for a 6-2 win.

Jenkins Helps Lead Small School West All State Team

Bluejays Elevate Terry Bennett, Jr. To Lead the Baseball Program

The Guthrie High School baseball program will have new leadership for the 2022-23 school year. Terry Bennett, Jr. will be recommended to the GPS Board of Education as the next head coach. He has served as an assistant coach in the program for the past eight years.

Gas Price Update

Average gasoline prices in Oklahoma have fallen 18.9 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.71/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 2,294 stations in Oklahoma. Prices in Oklahoma are 75.7 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 84.6 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
