Guthrie’s Blevins strikes gold at state track in coach’s farewell meet

Isaiah Blevins stood atop the podium at the Class 5A state track meet for the first time in his storied career as a Guthrie High distance runner.Blevins had multiple topthree finishes in track and cross country over the years, but had never collected a gold medal.

On Monday, May 11, the Guthrie Public Schools Board of Education approved the hiring of Jason Burkhart as Executive Director of Human Resources and Secondary Education. The position became available as John Hancock was recently hired to be the next Superintendent of Hinton Public Schools. Mr.

Guthrie Graduate Commissioned as U.S. Army Officer

Guthrie native Jonathan Clutter was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army after graduating from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.Clutter, a 2022 graduate of Guthrie High School, served as the JROTC Battalion Commander during his senior year.
