Guthrie native Jonathan Clutter was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army after graduating from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
Clutter, a 2022 graduate of Guthrie High School, served as the JROTC Battalion Commander during his senior year.
He was commissioned as an Armor officer during a ceremony in which Lt. Col. Brede had the honor of pinning Clutter’s second lieutenant bars.
Clutter will depart later this month for Fort Knox to support summer training with United States Army Cadet Command before heading to Fort Benning in August to train as an Armor officer and tank platoon leader.
