Community Donation Drive Aims to Help Families in Crisis

The Logan County Sheriff ’s Office Reserve Academy Class BR 25-7 is conducting a donation drive to benefit Wings of Hope Family Crisis Services, a local victim advocacy agency that supports individuals and families affected by violence and abuse.

Pedestrian Improvements Underway

Construction is underway at the intersection of Oklahoma Avenue and 1st Street as part of an ADA accessibility improvement project aimed at enhancing pedestrian safety and accessibility in Downtown Guthrie.

Kyle Wayne Scruggs was raised in Logan County, where he became known for his kindness, humor and big heart.When J9 Tavern opened in 2023, Scruggs lived nearby and became a regular. A friendship quickly formed, and he was later hired to work security and handle maintenance at the bar.
