- MAY 2025 Guthrie athletes sparkle at Special Olympics Summer Games It started with a rally and a motorcycle escort and ended with all 48 athletes from Guthrie taking home medals from the Special Olympics Summer Games in Stillwater. The Games drew more than 5,000 athletes to Oklahoma State University for three days of competition beginning May 14.

- OCTOBER 2025 Guthrie softball team hitting its stride Nothing has come easy for Guthrie’s fast-pitch softball team this season. When the Bluejays lost nine of their first 11 games, a return trip to the state tournament looked out of reach. A tall task to be sure, but Guthrie dug its way out the losers bracket with timely hitting and outstanding pitching to beat Western Heights 12-0, and Noble twice, 10-4 and 10-0, to reach the Class 5A tournament.
- NOVEMBER 2025 Pocket Park Completed On Nov. 5, the City of Guthrie and the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the new downtown Pocket Park. The collaborative project transformed an underused space into a vibrant community asset. The park was made possible through the Oklahoma Main Street Incentive Grant Program.
- DECEMBER 2025 Annual Lighted Parade Takes Over Guthrie Guthrie opened its holiday season Saturday night with the annual lighted Christmas parade and community tree lighting in the city’s historic downtown. The parade began at the Scottish Rite Temple and moved west along Oklahoma Avenue. Crowds lined the route as illuminated floats, decorated vehicles and costumed participants brought color music, and dancing to the streets.
