Logan County approves $138,000 opioid settlement grant

The Logan County Board of Commissioners on Monday approved a request from About Face Women’s Program Inc. for a $138,000 grant from Opioid Settlement Funds to support the Stillwater-based program.The funding includes $20,000 for the purchase of a transport van.

Historic Guthrie Shines in Victorian Holiday Style

Guthrie’s historic downtown came alive last weekend as the annual Victorian Walk and Distinctive Homes Tour brought crowds to the city’s Territorial Christmas celebration.The Victorian Walk, held on Saturday evening, transformed the brick-lined streets into a scene reminiscent of the 19th century.

Guthrie YMCA Angel Tree Spreads Holiday Cheer

The Guthrie YMCA is once again hosting its annual Angel Tree, providing community members the opportunity to support local children during the holiday season. All children represented on the tree are either members or participants of the YMCA who use the financial assistance program.

Guthrie Rotary Student of the Week

The Guthrie Rotary Club Student of the week is Aiden Hardiman. He is the son of Jenny Swanson. Aiden is involved in Bluejay basketball and was named the Defensive Player of the Year last season. After graduation, Aiden plans to attend OSU for business and finance.
