Students at Guthrie Upper Elementary are taking part in We Speak Life, a school based initiative designed to build leadership, service and positive peer culture among sixth grade girls who have applied and have been accepted into the program.

More Than a Meal: Logan County Aging Services Hosts Christmas Dinner for Area Seniors

Logan County Aging Services celebrated the season with its annual Christmas dinner on Wednesday, Dec. 17, bringing seniors together for an afternoon filled with food, fellowship and holiday cheer.Volunteers decorated Highland Hall, served the meal and organized giveaways for attendees.

The Guthrie Rotary Club Students of the Week are Michelle Mendoza and Ridge Garrett. Michelle is the daughter of Canna Estrada Vega and Osbaldo Mendoza Vega. She is active in FFA, Spanish Club, Heritage Club, Science Club, National Society of High School Scholars, Basketball and Bluejays Crew.

Cadets Pack Thousands of Meals in Record Time at Regional Food Bank

Guthrie JROTC cadets turned a routine service project into an extraordinary display of teamwork and heart during a volunteer shift at the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank.What was planned as a three-hour shift sorting, boxing and palletizing bread was completed in just an hour and a half.
