Let's Make Our Way Through Guthrie Together
If you have lived in Guthrie for any amount of time, you know one thing is always true. Something is always going on. A meeting worth talking about, a fundraiser worth supporting, a milestone worth celebrating, or a moment worth pausing to appreciate. That is where Bos About Town comes in.
Hi, I am Nikki Bos, and this column will take you along as I make my way through Guthrie. Down Main Street, into gyms and classrooms, through council meetings, restaurants, ballfields and banquet halls, listening, observing and sharing the stories that make our community what it is.
Bos About Town will be a little bit of everything. Some weeks it might spotlight a local event, a behind the scenes look at a community project, or a person quietly doing good work without much fanfare. Other weeks it may be a reflection on something that made me laugh, made me think, or reminded me why Guthrie is so special. You can expect local color, community pride and the occasional opinion, served with a side of honesty and heart.
This is not a gossip column. Think of it more like a conversation you would have running into a neighbor downtown or sitting on a front porch as the sun goes down. It is about noticing the little things as much as the big ones and about celebrating a town that shows up for itself time and time again.
Guthrie is full of stories, some loud, some quiet and some still unfolding. Bos About Town will aim to capture those moments, share them with care and maybe even spark a few conversations along the way.
So, whether you are a lifelong Bluejay, a newcomer learning the ropes, or someone who just likes to keep up with what is happening around town, I hope you will pull up a chair and come along. You never know who, or what, you might run into when you are Bos About Town.
