Oris Lee Whitaker, 75, of Guthrie, OK, was born on July 13, 1944 in Guthrie to Ronald Williams and Jessie Winafred Whitaker. He passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK. 

Oris was a farmer as a young boy and became a builder and a framer as an adult. He loved to hunt, fish and go animal trapping with his close friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Williams and Jessie Winafred Whitaker and a brother, Dwayne Whitaker.

Louran Brooke Lowder, 26, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in Oklahoma City. She was born November 2, 1993 in Oklahoma City to Bryan Kent and Denise Dyanne (Bertwell) Lowder.

Richard Huckleberry was born on May 5, 1943, in Konawa OK, to Ernest Huckleberry and Wanda Pamplin Huckleberry.  

Richard served in the U.S. Army, and was a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Durant, OK.

William Howard McLaughlin

William Howard McLaughlin, 92, passed away February 20, 2020 in Guthrie, OK at Willow Creek Retirement Center.

He was born February 6, 1928 in Enid, OK to William James McLaughlin and Evelyn Rose Elrod McLaughlin and spent his early childhood in Lovell, OK. It was during this time that Bill and his sister became ill with dust pneumonia during the Famous Dust Bowl.

Thetis “Hudson” Edwards

Thetis “Hudson” Edwards, age 77 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on February 23, 2020 in Guthrie. Hudson was born on September 4, 1942 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Thetis Harold Edwards and Evelyn Ellis.

Hudson was a Master Sergeant for the United States Army. He retired from the Army after 23 years of service. He then worked for the Guthrie Golf and Country Club where he also retired after 23 years.

She was surrounded by family that adored her as she lost the battle of complications from Alzheimer’s. She has ran the race and now she’s home, being welcomed to the place where she eternally belongs.
