Mark Bruning

Mark Bruning, age 47, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on July 28, 2022. Mark was born on October 31, 1974, to Mark Andrew Bruning, Sr. and Dee (Brooks) Bruning in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Mark graduated from Guthrie High School in 1993. He started working for the Guthrie Police Department in 1995. He married Heather Bouziden on September 28, 2013. Mark was also a firefighter/EMT for the Woodcrest Volunteer Fire Department and served as a Captain. He enjoyed spending time at the lake, fishing, hunting and playing golf. Mark was a member of the Guthrie Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife Heather of the home in Guthrie, mother Dee Bruning of Guthrie, daughter Bailey Bradford and husband Clay of Little Rock, AR, granddaughter Anderson Bradford of Little Rock, AR, two sisters, Sara Bruning and Sandee White and husband Danny both of Guthrie, grandmother Dorothy Brooks of Yukon. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Whitney Bruning, Samantha Wall, Karson White and Tommy White, mother and father-in-law Mark and Esther Bouziden, brother and sister-in-law Chris and Callie Bouziden and their children Carter, Caitlin and Claire. He was preceded in death by his father, his grandfather Donald Brooks and their dog Gage.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Community Church (512 Seward Road, Guthrie, OK 73044) with Pastor Bill Williams and Chaplin Gene Owen officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd from 12:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Hayes Funeral Home (117 E. Noble, Guthrie, OK 73044). Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
