STILLWATER, Okla. – Since 1975, Meridian Technology Center has focused on workforce and economic development.
This commitment was reinforced when the Board of Education approved renaming the school’s business and industry services division to Workforce and Economic Development.
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – It is no secret processing plants in Oklahoma are backlogged – producers looking
to process their livestock have to wait months and sometimes even up to a year to reserve a spot at a plant.
Earlier this year, Governor Kevin Stitt appropriated $10 million in federal funds from the CARES Act to the
Oklahoma Dept. of Agriculture, Food and Forestry with the goal of expanding meat processing capacity and
address supply chain disruptions across the state as a result of the COVID-19 public health emergency.
