Friday, March 8, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the April 2 Board of Education General Election and City of Guthrie, Coyle SD I-14 and Luther SD I-3 Special Elections, Logan County Election Board Secretary, Sheleen Winscott, said today.

Mulhall-Orlando FFA Announces 2024 OYE Scholarship Recipients

The Mulhall-Orlando FFA is proud to announce the recipients of this year’s Oklahoma Youth Expo academic scholarships. This year four seniors from our chapter each received a scholarship for academic excellence. Casyn Larman received the Alline Pfeiffer Memorial Scholarship, Hanna Schmidt received the Bill Luce Endowed Scholarship, Willie Schoonover received the Wild Bunch Scholarship, and Briley Harman received the McDonald’s Scholarship.

Domestic violence homicides in Oklahoma among nation’s highest

Domestic violence homicides in Oklahoma decreased slightly in 2022, but the number of incidents remain among the highest in the nation, according to the annual report just released by the Oklahoma Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board. Domestic homicide numbers for the past four years are substantially higher than numbers prior to 2019.

The American Legion Lebron Post 58 is gearing up to celebrate the 95th ‘89er Days in 2024 with a theme that honors military families. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Strength, Commitment & Sacrifice: Honoring Military Families.” This theme highlights the resilience, dedication, and sacrifices made by military families who support their loved ones in service to the country. It serves as a reminder of the importance of recognizing and appreciating the contributions of these unsung heroes.
