The Lazy E Arena has been secured to host the Guthrie High School Commencement Exercises honoring the Class of 2023. The ceremonies will be on Friday, May 19, 2023, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Graduation announcements will come with an insert which identifies the Lazy E Arena as the location of the ceremonies.

Mulhall-Orlando FFA members were in full action mode as they commemorated National FFA Week. This celebration of the national youth organization is an annual event held during the same week as George Washington’s birthday, as he was greatly dedicated to agriculture. During this time, FFA chapters all across the nation share their mission of preparing the next generation of leaders in American agriculture.

Friday, March 10, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the April 4 Board of Education and Statutory Municipal General Elections and Special Elections, Logan County Election Board Secretary Sheleen Winscott said today.

Early voting begins Thursday March 2 for voters in Logan County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.

The House last week passed two bills that will increase public education funding and give parents more choice. House Bill 2775 would increase public school funding by $500 million for Fiscal Year 2024.

Guthrie’s City Council on Tuesday voted 5-1 to approve a policy for residents wishing to speak at a City Council meeting. The new policy allows citizens to sign up and speak only on topics scheduled for that particular agenda.
