Wind and Fires Wreak Havoc, Guthrie PS Buses on Hold

Multiple fires throughout Logan County, driven by very high and gusty winds, are causing trouble all around Guthrie.

Guthrie Public Schools is holding all bus service and parents are encouraged to pick up their children directly. Interstate 35 is currently closed in both directions between Seward Road and Simmons Road in southern Logan County, with traffic stopped as far south as Waterloo Road.

At this point, there are reports of fires near Seward and Pine, Coltrane and Simmons, 

OG&E is reporting multiple power outages in Guthrie and Logan County, with as many as 2500+ customers affected. Also, Internet services from both Cox and AT&T appear to be completely down in Guthrie, since approximately 2:15pm this afternoon.
