Mulhall-Orlando FFA and 4-H Attends “Big 3”

Oklahoma State University’s Big 3 Field Days were held this monyh from the 17th through the 19th. Big 3 is a timehonored livestock judging event held every July at the university’s campus. More than 1,200 4-H and FFA members attended this three-day event, representing four different states. Members were able to compete for Highest Individual, create new friendships, and catch up with old friends.

The Mulhall-Orlando FFA Livestock Judging Team competed in the Senior Division and placed 15th overall. The team placed 14th on Sheep Day, 20th on Swine Day, and 19th on Beef Day. Team member Baylee Brown won 4th individual on Swine Day.

The Mulhall-Orlando 4-H Club had two teams competing in the Junior Division, with Team One placing 12th overall. Team One placed 17th on Sheep Day, 11th on Swine Day, and 14th on Beef Day. Member Kilee Dolch-Blehm won 2nd place on Swine Day, and placed 18th overall individual.

Big 3 was not the only livestock judging competition that the Mulhall-Orlando FFA and 4-H attended this month. They competed at the Prequel 2022 Livestock Judging Contest on July 15th at Fairview, Oklahoma, and at the Northern Oklahoma College’s Sheep Field Days on July 18th at Tonkawa, Oklahoma.
