The festivities for Meet the Bluejays 2026 kicked off with a community-wide tailgate, where students, families and community members gathered for hamburgers and hot dogs before the evening’s activities began.
The Guthrie High School Band provided music as the Color Guard joined in the festivities, helping create the upbeat atmosphere of a Bluejay football game. The music, energy and interaction among students gave the opening of the event a relaxed and spirited feel.
Various Bluejay athletic teams were introduced throughout the evening, including softball and cross country, to name a few.As athletes were recognized, many appeared to enjoy the opportunity to be in the spotlight, smiling, interacting with teammates and showing their enthusiasm for the upcoming seasons.
The Guthrie High School Cheerleaders added to the evening with a dance performance, providing another opportunity for students to showcase their talents and school spirit.
