The Guthrie High School Agricultural Education Department received a $5,000 donation Oct. 7 from Eskridge Chevrolet in Guthrie to help furnish the school’s new greenhouse, which is expected to open in the coming days.
The donation will help equip the greenhouse and support hands-on learning opportunities for students enrolled in Guthrie High School’s agricultural education and horticulture programs.
The new greenhouse will provide students with a space to apply classroom lessons through practical experience, including plant care, horticulture and other agricultural activities. These opportunities allow students to develop valuable skills that can benefit them in future education and careers.
The contribution highlights the value of community partnerships in supporting local schools and providing students with resources to learn, grow and explore career opportunities.
With the greenhouse nearing its opening, the donation will help prepare the new facility to serve Guthrie students for years to come.
