Guthrie sees a rise in sales tax revenue, lower use tax revenue

The City of Guthrie saw an increase in its November sales tax and lower use tax, which are compiled from tax receipts from September business.

According to the City report, Guthrie received $725,288 in sales tax this month.

This amount is 14 percent higher or $89,500 more as compared to the same month last year at $635,787.

The City is eight percent higher cumulatively as compared to 2022 or $103,737. The City’s Year-to-Date collection is $1,416,284 which is 3.6 percent more than YTD projection of $1,367,041 (or, $49,242 more than projection) The City’s report

SALES TAX REVENUE » PAGE 7 showed that Guthrie received $80,889 in Use (Internet sales) Tax this month.

This amount is -9 percent lower or ($7,942) less as compared to the same month last year at $88,831, while status quo accumulatively as compared to 2022.

The City’s YTD collection is $174,109 which is -6 percent less than YTD projection of $184,416 (or, -$10,307 less than projection).
