(Stillwater, OK-Sept. 8, 2021) — The Central Community Foundation granted the First Capital Neighborhood Solutions Foundation $1,653 to assist with plumbing damage for a local family.

The grant will cover the cost to repair plumbing problems caused by the ice storm in February that affected one family’s water lines, faucets and well.

First Capital wrote in their grant request, “This project is unusual in that so many have come forward for assistance after so long a period of time. Most say they didn't know help was available.”

The Central Community Foundation provides grants through the Operation Round Up program at Central Rural Electric Cooperative. Members of CREC can round up their monthly electric bills to the nearest dollar to help organizations and residents in need throughout Central’s seven-county service area.
