The American Legion LeBron Post 58 will commemorate National POW/MIA Recognition Day on Friday, Sept. 18, with an event honoring Americans who were held captive during past conflicts and those who remain missing.
The observance will begin at 1 p.m. at The American Legion, 125 Rush Road in Guthrie.
The event will recognize former prisoners of war who returned home, as well as service members who remain unaccounted for from past conflicts.
According to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, more than 81,000 Americans remain missing from past conflicts.
