The good news is that the Guthrie Bluejays made quick work of the Shawnee Wolves on Senior Night, last Friday, taking advantage of multiple mistakes to lead 20-0 after one quarter and 44-0 at the half on the way to a 50-0 win. The bad news is that they will get a very good Lawton MacArthur (8-2) team in the first round of the playoffs this Friday night at Jelsma Stadium.

Tigers shut out Wildcats in rivalry game

Crescent High’s football team sent off its seniors Friday night with a 42-0 win against Highway 74 rival Cashion in the final regular-season game to clinch second place in District A-3. The Tigers (8-1 overall, 4-1 in the district), who had lost a critical district game against Minco in Week 9, will get to host an always tough Ringling (7-3) squad, which lost to Stratford 28-20 to fall to third place in District A-4.
