It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Allen Dill, 80, of Crescent, Oklahoma, who passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City with his loving family by his side. James was born on August 24, 1942 to Otto & Margaret (Voelker) Dill in Chicago, Illinois.

He grew up and went to high school and college in Chicago where he met his late wife, Charlene and he worked in the printing industry as a lithographer. They moved to Arizona and later to Oklahoma.

James was an entrepreneur and loved to work for himself having his own businesses. James had a love for horses, westerns, and was active in his Church community at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond, Oklahoma.

After being a widow, he met and married his late wife, Chantal. They enjoyed getting to travel together. James was an outgoing, talkative person who loved to work, especially on his home. He also loved to go dancing and he had a deep faith and love for his family.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Margaret; his stepmother, Shirley Borchardt Dill; his brother, Charles “Chuck” Dill; and his wives, Charlene Dill and Chantal LaGuardia-Dill.

James is survived by his children, Scott (Rachel) Dill and Mark (Jennifer) Dill of Edmond; grandchildren, Kaylee, Anna, Katherine, and Elizabeth; his brothers, Gerald (Arlene) Dill of Illinois and Michael (Gloria) Dill of Arizona; and sisterin- law, Marilyn Dill of Michigan.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Reverend Father James Wickersham officiating. Interment followed at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond. Services were under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 411 North Elm St., Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044 or Integris Hospice House, 13920 Quailbrook Drive, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73134.
