Guthrie High School held an assembly to cap off a fundraising campaign Tuesday. The assembly included the championship games of basketball and dodgeball tournaments. The sophomore class raised the most money, so the lead fundraisers of the other classes received pies to the face. One student had pledged to have his legs waxed if GHS met its goal, so that took place at the end.
In total, GHS raised $8,614.20 for Make Promises Happen (MPH). MPH, according to its website, "is dedicated to providing outdoor recreational opportunities for individuals with special needs."
